Crocs are known for their slip-on clogs (yup, those shoes with all the holes), so when they decided to launch a new men’s shoe line, they had one shot at launch. To roll out a successful launch of Crocs’ new line of shoes, data and analysis played a huge role. After analyzing the data, we had found that the top selling shoes were the clogs for kids and second was clogs for women. However, over 60% of the purchases were done by males. Crocs’ demographic was already in-store and purchasing shoes for others, so all that needed to be done was some print advertising in-store and a new sales verbiage and training to sell the new line of male shoes. The launch was successful, and Crocs beat sales expectations for the first year.
